Kolossi castle

It is a former Crusader stronghold 12 kilometers west of the city of Limassol. It was known as the home of the great sweet wine which came to be known as Commandaria.

Castle was the site of a royal wedding in the Middle Ages between Richard the Lionheart, King of England, and Berengaria of Navarre, and now houses the Cyprus Medieval Museum.
